The BGE (Beers, Gears & Engineers) Cycling Club is based in Exeter, and offers cyclists the opportunity to take part in regular club rides, social rides, sportives and social evenings – the emphasis is on fun, increasing our fitness and supporting each other on the rides.
We pride ourselves in encouraging one another to achieve our cycling goals. The club was originally founded by Howmet employees in Exeter. It is now open to members from all over Exeter and the surrounding area. Our current membership totals approx 100 members
The BG&E’s have a “no drop” policy and we welcome all those over 18 yrs old (under 18 if with a responsible adult). The club hosts annual events such as the awards night and social events. Recently we have arranged cycling trips to France and Italy. Members enjoy the social aspect as much as the cycling, so if you are interested please contact us we’d like to hear from you.
We have regular club rides on Sunday mornings and in the evening on Wednesdays and Thursdays, throughout the year.
