The Shaftesbury Cycling Club is based at Mountnessing in Essex (between Brentwood and Chelmsford) and boasts over 130 members covering a very wide age range (5 years to over 90 years). Longevity of membership is certainly revered and in the last few years two members celebrated 70 years continuous membership, four 60 years and one 50 years
