Fuji Jari Carbon 1.3 Gravel Bike Satin, 2021

Review

Aiming to improve gravel standards, Fuji have combined their Jari with their lightest carbon fiber to produce a bike fit for the adventurer.

This frame is made from monocoque carbon and produced for not only exploring but racing as well. With a front end slightly more slack than a road bike, it tackles fast and technical descents without any problems.

Pros

  • Great range of gears
  • Flared handlebar is said to give stability on looser ground
  • Lightweight at 9.74kg
  • Various mounting points for additional baggage or bottles

Cons

  • Gearing is a bit too much of a jump on the road
  • Fairly pricey with the additional import taxes
  • Quite a stiff ride, so possibly not great for those starting out with gravel and looking for comfort

Verdict

A great bike, well built and designed, providing fun and options for variety. There are better equipped bikes out there for the money, but the frame-set is at the heart of this design.
